I've been needing a new icon/avatar for a long time, so today I decided to make one (instead of painting more serious stuff in Photoshop, naturally ).
I used bits of a digital painting I've been working on. Unfortunately because the images have so much detail in them, and because dA only allows Avatar files to be under 15kb, I couldn't play with the animation as much as I liked (I would have liked to put a fade animation on the flashing bits, but unfortunately that went 2kb over the file size limit
I personally think the flashing is a bit too harsh, but I will continue to play around with it and see if it can be improved. Overall I love it the change of avatar is rather refreshing!

As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board. This is a special feature, with a selection of 50 manips from the past year that we loved.
